I am Simon Yap Kook Foon 叶国锋, an engineer, Malaysian, Chinese, I donated blood for 97 times, 3 months once time, 89x450cc of whole blood and 8x600cc of plasma on 6 November 2025. I was volunteer to serve handicap children for 31 times at Taman Sinar Harapan, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor, Malaysia, organized by Tzu Chi. I climbed Mount Tahan 8 hours per day for 7 days including one day rest from Kuala Tahan in 1996. I was TAR College torch runner, I ran alternatively from Kuala Lumpur to Segamat, Johore and ran across Penang-Butterworth Bridge in 1992. I climbed Bukit Apek or Bukit Putih from Taman Saga, Taman Awana and Taman Cuepac for 83 times. I participated in Tzu Chi Mass Vesak Collective Blessings Ceremony for 3 times. I was backup singer in Sunday worshipping at Chinese Methodist Hokkien Church (CMHC) for many times. I was champion in Chinese Chess. I’m now volunteer for distribution of free food to homeless and less fortunate people at 4 venues in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia started from 25 March 2024 organized by Food4U founded by Uncle Tony Lian.

My hobbies are volunteering, mountaineering, running, walking, hiking, singing, playing recorder, Chinese Chess, badminton, table tennis, blogging, meditation, photographing, learning languages, traveling.
